Now that the children are back at school, life can return to some semblance of order and with that craft group can return. I will have to apologise that the start date has been a bit vague but I have been slighly overcommitted with Martin in Canberra and trying to get things organised for the Papercrafts Festival. Added to this, poor Christian picked up a stomach bug on returning to school, so looks like he'll be home tomorrow. I'll still be here at home crafting and preparing for the show, so any regular crafters are welcome here for a coffee. So to cut a long story short, officially Craft Group will recommence Tuesday 9th February at 10am at the Wynnum Manly Workers Club, Bognor St, Tingalpa.
I have included some photos from last year, featuring a few of our members. It was so wonderful the willing assistance we were given to complete the Mater Mother's Footprint Cards for the Bereavement Program. Some of our friends, such as Margaret pictured below, started out by their own request on simple tasks but very quickly escalated their skills to bigger creative projects. Either way, we are so happy to have you all even if it is for a social chat, to assist with our charity work or learn some new techniques and ideas.

I thought I would also post an email from one of the social workers at the Mater Children's who received a new set of boxes just after Christmas.
Hi Liz,
I went over to the MMH last week and received a wonderful surprise.
Thanks so much for the Footprint and Name Card Kits. They are fantastic and I will show all the Social Workers at the MCH how to use them.
It will be so good for us to have them here so that I don't have to arrange to go to the MMH each time.
I really want you to pass on my thanks to everyone involved in putting these together and for paying for everything. I have had many comments from parents re the Name Cards and how special they are to the families (even when I do a pretty bad job!!)
Thanks agian Liz,
Sincerely,
Fiona Bennett,
Social Worker,
Cardiac Service, MCH
Thankyou again to everyone who helped put these angel boxes together, including some demonstrators from outside our paper Angels Group who traded their much loved Whimsical Alphabet Stamp Sets for the cause.
